Sue is one of the original founders of the Rachel’s Vineyard Kelowna site, having served in this ministry since October, 2002. Sue has many gifts that she brings to our Rachel’s Vineyard team. Her gifts of hospitality and her organizational abilities have been vital in establishing the Kelowna Rachel site. On many retreat weekends Sue has served as coordinator and facilitator/co-facilitator. She has also served in other capacities, including providing the music for many of our retreats. A highly valued team member, Sue has volunteered many hundreds of hours to the Rachel Vineyard ministry. Sue is married to Rick, and has two married children, and six grandchildren. Family is her number one priority as she spends many enjoyable hours entertaining her grandchildren and assisting with their care. Her service in Rachel’s Vineyard, and her “yes” to serve in this ministry has been a great blessing to her fellow team members and to the participants who are seeking healing and restoration from the aftermath of abortion.
Richard attended a Kelowna Rachel’s Vineyard retreat in 2004 with his wife, Sue. He has served the Rachel’s Vineyard team, assisting with props and hospitality. Richard has joined his wife Sue as Site Leaders for Kelowna. Richard and Sue have two married children and six grandchildren.
Margaret has served on the Rachel Team since 2009 . She brings with her many organizational and technical skills as well as compassion, empathy and a love for Rachel’s Vineyard Ministries. Margaret has served on Hospitality, the Kitchen team, Props and recently as Co Facilitator of our retreat. Her enthusiasm and unending energy are a great asset to our Ministry. Margaret believes strongly and most faithfully in God’s mercy, love and forgiveness. It is her joy to give generously of her time and service to this healing ministry. She hopes, that all those who are suffering from the pain of an abortion, whether your own or a loved one, will come to Rachel’s Vineyard to receive God’s healing and experience once again the true gift of inner peace.
Angelika moved to beautiful Kelowna, BC in 1993 as a single parent of three children in elementary school. She has been working as a caregiver at a Christian Care Home for extraordinary folks with very difficult life challenges since 1996 and retirement is on the horizon.
In 2008, Angelika attended her first Rachel’s Vineyard Retreat and within a couple of years began serving on the hospitality team.
Rachel’s Vineyard gives Angelika the opportunity to gratefully “give back” while fulfilling her desire to infuse love in others through acceptance, compassion and encouragement. It reminds her that “He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others…” 2Corinthians 1:4a
